To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sermsang Power Corporation Public Company Limited (SSP), the Uni Power Tech (UPT) Biomass Power Plant in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, in collaboration with Aero O&M Service Co., Ltd. and P&P Best System Co., Ltd., organized the "Lighting Up Learning" activity. This initiative, part of the "SSP 10 Years of Power for Change" project, aimed to empower youth by extending positive impact to the local community. This directly addresses social indicators related to education and capacity building.
The project focused on enhancing Ban Thanon Khot School, located near the power plant, through several key improvements. These included renovating school restrooms, developing learning spaces, donating books and educational toys, and conducting workshops on sustainable waste management for both children and the wider community. These efforts demonstrate SSP's commitment to community development programs and environmental education.
This impactful outreach by UPT goes beyond generating clean energy; it ignites hope and educational opportunities for children in remote areas. It underscores a steadfast commitment to fostering community development alongside energy progress, paving the way for a brighter future. This initiative highlights SSP's dedication to inclusive growth and its contribution to social equity within its operational footprint.
