SPN Organizes Buddhist Lent Candle Offering to Strengthen Community Engagement Preserving Thai Cultural Heritage and Creating Shared Value for Sustainable Communities.

Sermsang Energy Company Limited (SPN) organized the "Buddhist Lent Candle Offering Procession: Merit, Well-being, and Shared Happiness" community engagement initiative on 24 July 2026 at Wat Wang Khon Khwang, Khok Samrong District, Lopburi Province. The event was held in collaboration with the Wang Khon Khwang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Ban Wang Khon Khwang School, Buddhist monks, and local residents to preserve Thailand's rich Buddhist traditions during the Buddhist Lent (Khao Phansa) festival while strengthening partnerships with local stakeholders and promoting sustainable community development.

The initiative reflects SPN's commitment to integrating social responsibility into its business operations by preserving local cultural heritage, encouraging employee volunteerism, and fostering meaningful collaboration with stakeholders. Through these collective efforts, the Company continues to create shared value while contributing to long-term community well-being and sustainable social development.

A total of 11 employee volunteers from Sermsang Energy Company Limited, Sermsang Infinite Company Limited, together with internship students, participated in the Buddhist Lent Candle Offering Procession. The volunteers offered Buddhist Lent candles and bottled drinking water to 12 Buddhist monks across four local temples—Wat Wang Khon Khwang, Wat Nimit Mongkhon, Wat Dong Kaeo, and Wat Huai Wua Tai—as a gesture of support for religious activities during the Buddhist Lent season.

As part of the volunteer program, participants also carried out community service by cleaning the temple grounds and the ordination hall (Ubosot) at Wat Wang Khon Khwang. The activity contributed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming religious environment while reinforcing the temple's role as an important center for religious practice, cultural preservation, and community engagement.

Beyond supporting religious and cultural traditions, SPN extended its social contribution through the "POWER FOR CHANGE Year 2" campaign under the theme "Share Create Transform – For People, For Planet, For Future." Employees donated educational materials, school supplies, and essential consumer goods, which were presented to teachers and students at Ban Wang Khon Khwang School. The initiative aims to enhance teaching and learning, expand educational opportunities, and improve the well-being of children and youth within the local community.

The campaign also demonstrates the Company's commitment to Creating Shared Value (CSV) by encouraging employee participation in social initiatives and leveraging the Company's resources to generate positive and lasting impacts for people, communities, and the environment. It reinforces SPN's purpose of using its organizational capabilities and human capital to drive positive change in line with the guiding principle, "Share Create Transform – For People, For Planet, For Future."

Overall, the initiative directly benefited 12 Buddhist monks from four temples and 135 students at Ban Wang Khon Khwang School, who received donated educational materials and essential supplies. The program also strengthened collaboration among the private sector, local government, educational institutions, temples, and community members, while cultivating employee volunteerism and social responsibility. These collaborative efforts further enhanced stakeholder trust and reinforced SPN's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen committed to sustainable community development.

To evaluate the effectiveness of the initiative, SPN conducted a post-event satisfaction survey among the 11 participating volunteers. The results showed an overall stakeholder satisfaction score of 97%, with participants expressing high satisfaction across all aspects of the activity, including event organization, logistics, staff support, activity design, and overall benefits received. The findings demonstrate the Company's ability to effectively address community needs while delivering meaningful social value through stakeholder engagement.

The "Buddhist Lent Candle Offering Procession: Merit, Well-being, and Shared Happiness" initiative supports SPN's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy and contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
