Sermsang Power Corporation Public Company Limited (SSP) reaffirms its commitment to developing clean energy projects that integrate economic, social, and environmental values. The company recently partnered with Mahasarakham University (MSU) to advance the "Romklao Wind Farm Learning Center" project.
Mr.Passakorn Panyaratanakorn, Chief Operating Officer, and the SSP team visited MSU to observe and receive presentations from fourth-year students in the Landscape Architecture program, under the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design, and Creative Arts. The presentations were part of the Landscape Architecture Project Design course, where students showcased innovative concepts for designing the learning center.
The presentations covered a variety of concepts, all of which focused on the seamless integration of renewable energy knowledge with the local community context. Each group presented compelling landscape architectural design approaches.
During the visit, Mr.Passakorn Panyaratanakorn commended the students for their potential and initiative, offering valuable feedback for further refinement of their work. "I have always believed in the power of the younger generation, and today we have seen how everyone's creativity can transform a wind farm into something more than just a power plant. It can become a hub that harmoniously integrates clean energy, community livelihoods, and local culture," he stated. "This is not merely designing a space; it is genuinely designing a sustainable future for the community."
SSP will select the most outstanding and suitable concept to develop into a pilot project. The company anticipates delivering the learning center to the community within 2026. This center is expected to not only serve as a significant clean energy landmark but also as a hub for fostering community engagement and driving a sustainable local economy.
