SSP Announces Achievement as One of Ten National Pilot Organizations, Targeting Net Zero by 2050 through the “Climate Action Leading Organization (CALO)” Initiative

Sermsang Power Corporation Public Company Limited (SSP), a leader in Thailand’s renewable energy sector, has reinforced its commitment to sustainability. The company was selected as one of ten national pilot organizations to participate in the "Climate Action Leading Organization (CALO)" project. This initiative is organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), or TGO.

Strategic Objectives: A Measurable Action Plan

SSP has established a comprehensive framework for transitioning toward a Low-carbon Society by defining quantitative targets in accordance with TGO standards, as follows:

• Base Year: Designated as the benchmark for performance measurement.
• Goal: Achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2050.
• Operational Scope: The strategy encompasses greenhouse gas management across all three scopes (Scopes 1, 2, and 3).
• Initial Phase: A defined Net Zero Pathway has been set for the first five years (2025–2029) to ensure tangible and verifiable results.

Driving Transformation through Specialized Consultation

The success of this project is rooted in the close collaboration between SSP’s internal teams and experts from the Center of Excellence for Eco-Energy (CEEE) at Thammasat University. The project successfully completed three intensive consultation milestones:

• Session 1 (July 16, 2025): Establishing the foundation and analyzing methodologies for the Carbon Footprint of Organization (CFO).
• Session 2 (August 1, 2025): Monitoring progress and evaluating the feasibility of the established Net Zero targets.
• Session 3 (August 19, 2025): Finalizing goal-setting results to apply for Net Zero Path Certification in compliance with TGO standards.

To ensure effective decarbonization across every business process, SSP mobilized 18 key personnel from three primary departments: Corporate Administration, Operations and Maintenance, and Engineering and Power Plant Management.

Recognition of Commitment at TGO Forum 2025

SSP’s dedication was honored at the TGO Forum & TCNN Conference 2025, held at C ASEAN, CW Tower, Bangkok. Mr. Pasakorn Panyaratanakorn, Chief Operating Officer (COO), represented the company to receive the CALO Pilot Organization Certificate of Honor.

Participation in the CALO program signifies more than just environmental compliance; it represents "Action-Oriented Leadership" backed by verifiable data. This initiative elevates SSP as a sustainable clean energy leader, creating genuine shared value for all stakeholders.
