The Company is committed to operating its renewable energy business alongside Creating Shared Value (CSV). We aim to develop the Rom Klao Wind Farm in Mukdahan Province into more than just a power generation site—envisioning it as a Clean Energy Learning Center and an Eco-tourism destination that harmonizes with local community contexts and the surrounding ecosystem.
The project commenced with Phase 1 of the Rom Klao Wind Farm Learning Center, focusing on establishing the foundation for site design and spatial analysis. This was achieved through academic collaboration with the Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design, and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University, allowing students to create innovative spatial management models.
Phase 1 Objectives and Goals
- Design Excellence: To study and develop a Conceptual Design that aligns with the ecosystem and community identity by facilitating dialogues with community leaders surrounding the wind farm.
- Collaborative Synergy: To integrate knowledge between the business sector and academic institutions, providing students with a platform for real-world professional experience.
- Community Engagement: To actively listen to and incorporate community needs from the earliest stages of project development.
Strategic Partner
- Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design, and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University.
Project Performance
The implementation of Phase 1 (July – September 2025) successfully achieved its targets as follows:
- Site Study & Analysis: Students conducted on-site surveys to assess the constraints and potential of the areas surrounding the power plant, gaining direct insights from the physical environment.
- Brainstorming & Design Synthesis: Knowledge exchange sessions between students, the community, and the Company led to design proposals that reflect the coexistence of clean energy and local livelihoods.
- Tangible Outcomes: 5 Landscape Architectural Design Concepts were delivered, serving as a critical foundational dataset for the planning, construction, and development in subsequent phases.
